About Me

Shay grew up moving from one country to another, but most of her time was spent in Oxford, UK. In it, she learnt the wonders of Shakespeare and literature. She may also have picked up her strange sense of humor there, research is unclear. Shay loves to write, edit, do cat stuff, perform, hide in the shadows, watch way too many horror movies, and then complain that she has multiple stalkers who can enter her dreams. She’s a part of the LGBTQIA+ community and a scholar: a BFA in Performing Arts, BA in Psychology, MA in Cultural Studies, MFA in Creative Writing, and currently she is a PhD Candidate for English Lit. She has been a writer and

editor for two decades, published papers, presented her work in conferences, and holds the world record for watching movies in succession (well, she believes she does, anyway). Following this bio, she will continue referring to herself in third person, as it makes her feel important.​
